Kingston, June 9, 2022 – Sail Canada, along with the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron (RNSYS), is inviting all Canadian sailing fans to CanadaÛªs second annual Celebration of Sailing event which will be held in the afternoon of October 19 at the RNSYS.
CanadaÛªs Celebration of Sailing marks the pinnacle event of the season for the sport of sailing in Canada where our nationÛªs high-performance sailors of past, present and future gather with welcomed guests to celebrate outstanding performances and experiences. In the waterfront setting, guests will be treated with hors d’oeuvres as well as cocktails and refreshments, and highlights of this celebratory reception will include:
-Meet and greet session with members of the 2022 National Sailing Team and Development Squad
-Stories from the Helm – A captivating panel interview with 4 or 5 Canadian Performance Sailors
-Awarding of Sail CanadaÛªs Rolex Sailor of the Year Trophy

Nominate an athlete
Nominations are now open for Sail CanadaÛªs Rolex Sailor of the Year Award, which is given out to individuals who have provided global recognition to Canadian sailing and Sail Canada. They are renowned leaders who have attained high levels of excellence in terms of results and accomplishments in worldwide events or activities. Along with recognition for exemplary sportsmanship, they have the respect of their fellow sailors.
