Sail Canada has been on a journey of equity, diversity and inclusion over the past two years and has developed an action plan to support rolling this work out across our community. A priority within that work is to provide training and resources that will support clubs and community programs to create more welcoming and inclusive programs for underserved participants.
As part of this work, Sail Canada strives to support programs at the grassroots level. Thanks to Sport Canada’s Community Sport for All Initiative Sail Canada has received funding to direct toward programs serving underserved or underrepresented participants in the sport of sailing.
Funding is available for the 2024 sailing season. Sail Canada aims to fund approved programs with an average funding amount expected to be up to a maximum of approximately $5000.
