Kingston, September 27, 2023 – Sail Canada shared the following statement from its Chief Executive Officer Don Adams regarding SailGP’s announcement today of an event in Season 4 to be held in Halifax in June.
“Sail Canada is excited that a SailGP event will be hosted in Canada in June 2024.”
“SailGP events attract millions of fans around the world, and thousands of spectators in Halifax will be able to see the excitement of the sport as the boats (F50) may reach speeds close to 100 km/h.”
“This event will inspire youth sailors as SailGP, with the Canada SailGP Team, became another option in an athletes’ career.”
