The Hudson Yacht Club invites applications for CanSail 3 & 4 instructors.
The Hudson Yacht Club, founded in 1909, is located on the Lake of Two Mountains, just west of the island of Montreal. The Yacht Club has a very active swimming program, a beautiful beach, and a large area dedicated to Junior Sailors. HYC has been home to some of Canada’s greatest sailors, including Olympic Silver Medallist Evert Bastet, Olympic Laser sailor David Wright, and the late Gerry Rouf’s.
Our Junior Sailing program is in high demand, therefore in recent years HYC has acquired new sailboats (420’s, Opti’s and Squadron 13’s) and coach boats to ensure safety as well as quality instruction for our young sailors. The Junior Sailing program includes 8 full-time instructors, teaching approximately 40 sailors every day. Our Coaching Staff is a great mix of veteran and rookie instructors who love to sail and have fun while providing quality instruction to the sailors, who are the future of the sport.
We are currently looking for a CanSail 3 & 4 instructor (trained or certified) to join our team. Applicants must have completed all the CYA pre-requisites and paid their instructor fees by the start date. Experience with Opti’s and dinghy racing is a plus. Competitive salaries will be commensurate with experience. We ask for availability between mid-June and the end of August.
