Royal Victoria Yacht Club is looking for CANSail Instructors of all levels (CS 1&2, through to Chutes & Wires) for its 2013 season. We have an action packed season beginning in early May, and are looking to hire a staff of 16 instructors through labour day weekend. Our staff will coach school league teams, public school sailing, and CANSail programs during July and August.
Royal Vic boasts an innovative sailing program, and was named 2011 and 2012 Sail Canada Program of the Year. There is a strong emphasis on mentorship between junior and senior staff, as well as professional development. We are looking for instructors and coaches who are hard working, keen to learn, provide a safe and professional working environment, and have fun.
Candidates should posses the following qualifications
o CANSail Fundamental Theory Course
o One or more of CANSail 1&2, CANSail 3&4, or CANSail 5&6 Technical Course, with “Trained” status
o Recommended certs: any of Program Manager Module, Opti Module, Chutes & Wires
o Current First Aid & CPR (or equivalent) certification
o Current Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card
