Stacie sails out of Royal Victoria Yacht Club in Victoria BC with her skipper John McRoberts and coach Steve McBride.

Stacie has raced sailboats for five plus years as both crew and skipper in local open fleet races. Stacie has spent the last three years in pursuit of of her Paralympic goal as crew on the SCUD18. This goal was achieved in March when Stacie and John won the country qualifier for the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. John and Stacie have placed well in several international regattas. Most recently they scored a bonze medal in the Miami Olympic Class Regatta, 2008.

When not sailing, Stacie works as financial management consultant with IBM’s Global Business Services in Victoria, BC. Stacie also volunteers her services as a board member and treasurer for the Disabled Sailing Association of BC Victoria Branch, a not for profit organization that supports disabled sailing. Stacie and husband Rhys have a seven year old son named Dylan.
