Just one race today in very light conditions, 5-8 knots for Gold and Silver fleet however Team Canada capitalized on it with 3 boats in the top 10 at the finish. Coach Steve Mitchell breaks down the play. "Rob Davis and David Wright tacked out at the start at the committee boat end and was looking good along with race leader Nick Thompson (GBR) most of the way up. David rounded 4th and Lee Parkhill 6th, with Robert back in 15th. A great downwind for Robert as he passed some big names to round the leeward gate in 9th. David moved up to 3rd behind GBR and Buhl GER, and Lee into 6th at the finish with Robert in 8th. Regatta leader Scheidt BRA posted a 12th, with Croatian Stipanovic deep in 43rd. The Cypriot Kontides now takes over second place, 9pts behind Scheidt."
Canadian Lee Parkhill jumps up to 14th overall, Robert Davis 30th, David Wright in 41st.
A huge thunderstorm meant the fleet were sent ashore and no more racing today, so 3 are scheduled for tomorrow.
