Bio:
27 year old Locas still calls St-Eustache (outside Montreal) home. He learned to sail at Club Nautique Deux-Montagnes in Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac at the age of 10, but now calls Beaconsfield Yacht Club ‘home’.
Despite financial challenges and not being members of the Canadian Sailing team, Locas and teammate Bone beat the odds while competing at Cascais this last fall (2007), qualifying for these Olympic games.
Locas, is also a student at École Polytechnique de Montréal, Québec, where he is working towards completion of a Mechanical Engineering degree.
